The Story of 'The Forgotten Toys'

Father Christmas was astounded by the enormous kindness and generosity that everyone showed last Christmas in Woking, after finding out that a total of 2,800 pre-loved toys were donated to Victoria Place.

This year, he wrote a letter to Victoria Place to say that he would like his chief elf Sparkle to join him on his magical visit to Woking, to see all the lovely families once again.

He asked Sparkle to polish all the baubles and dust off the paint brushes, to create an enchanting toy donation station.

Sparkle was on hand this year to encourage families to come and experience the magic of Christmas and donate all their pre-loved toys that may still be sitting at home, hiding under the bed.

For every toy donated, little ones could press Sparkle’s kindness counter to reveal the number of toys that had been donated. For every 100th donation, families had the chance to take home a miniature version of Victoria Place’s ‘Freddy the Festive Bear’, made especially by Father Christmas and Sparkle in their cosy North Pole toy workshop.

Freddy himself made personal appearances on Saturdays between 25th November and 16th December, to give cuddles and say thanks to everyone for their endless generosity!

All the pre-loved toys that have been so kindly donated to Sparkle this year have been whisked off by Father Christmas in his shiny red sleigh, just in time for Christmas, to be delivered to three local children’s charities (Sebastian’s Action Trust, The Lighthouse and The Children’s Trust) who will help find new loving homes for each and every one of them.

This Christmas is all about the gift of giving, and Sparkle, Freddy the Festive bear and Father Christmas want to say thank you for you for all your generous donations and a very merry Christmas!
