Victoria Way Lane Closure

Works Update – Hilton Hotel Area

From 6 March 2026

Preparatory works will begin for cladding remedial works at the Hilton Hotel.

These early works include installing scaffold tunnels to ensure safe pedestrian access along Victoria Way and between Church Street West and Victoria Way. An additional tunnel will be installed near the M&S access.

From later March 2026 to May/June 2026

Main works will take place during this period.

From 23 March 2026

Preparatory works will begin to enable a temporary traffic change.

From 30 March 2026 (for approximately 12 weeks)

One lane on Victoria Way will be partially closed to allow safe working at height.

Pedestrian access on Victoria Way will remain open at all times via the scaffold tunnels. All car park entrances and exits will remain open, and disruption will be kept to a minimum wherever possible.
